LA BLANCA
Kannabia Seeds La Blanca – As one of the leading motivations of our team at Kannabia Seeds is to get back to our roots, we wanted to pay homage to all those who were impressed by the “WHITE” family. From its long lineage we have tried to focus our selection by prioritising flavour, yield and strength (because of its medicinal qualities).
The cross is the result of careful selection of Great White Shark and Snow White (La Blanca’s original genotype), which is what we found to match our selection parameters most closely. GWS is well known for its high THC and CBD levels as well as its medicinal properties, as an appetite enhancer and peripheral muscle relaxant. Its Skunk #1 heritage adds sweetness to a penetrating smell from the end of the growth period and beginning of flowering.
To stabilise this plant, we crossed it once again with a predominantly indica White Widow. This cross gives it a shorter flowering time — eight weeks indoors and by mid-September outdoors. The yield is fairly high for a hybrid with touches of sativa (such as the structure): around 500 grams per square metre. It responds well to very small amounts of fertiliser, so you must be very careful not to over-fertilise.
It’s quite a “skunky” plant, so you should be take smell issues into account from the early stages of growing. We recommend growing in five-litre pots with a coconut substrate and drip-watering system for the best results. With a height of 70-85 cm indoors you can obtain an abundant harvest. Thee plants may reach up to 3 m when grown outdoors.
The resin concentration is astonishing, delighting any grower who sees all those huge “sugary” buds. Resin production can be stimulated further by leaving the variety in the dark for the last few days before cutting. To enhance the flavour we recommend using carbohydrates from the initial stages of flowering. The open-armed structure will give you hefty buds laden with resin, like shark’s teeth.
When you grow La Blanca you’ll see that despite its wildness (it grows and flowers with great vigour) it’s very easy to grow and withstands even the most extreme conditions. After subjecting La Blanca to the toughest guerrilla crops we have no hesitation in recommending this technique for splendid, surprising results. Recommended indoors for SCROG.
